PT Outdoors offers a variety of tours that are designed to meet the desires and abilities of all our guests. We highly recommend our guided tours for a safe and informative on-water experience. Our Guides are well trained and enjoy sharing their knowledge of local history, wildlife or kayaking, and they love to share some of their “Tall Tales”. The Port Townsend area offers some of the best paddling waters on the Olympic Peninsula. Join us on one of our tours for an lasting experience that the whole family or group will enjoy.
We recommend that you wear non-cotton clothing in layers, with a water-proof outer shell and sensible footwear that could get wet. Sunblock and a hat are also a good idea for those sunny days, and don’t forget the camera. All paddling and safety gear is provided, and your guide will orient you as to its proper use. A safety orientation is also part of the pre-launch program and with that you and your kayak are launched from the beach by one of our assistants.
All Tours require advanced reservations. Only our “Scheduled Tours” (see below), which depart from our Water Street location, allow walkups on a space available basis. “Specialty Tours” require a minimum of 7 days advanced booking. For complete information go to our “Reservations” page.
